Integrated search functionality included
Staatic makes your site’s content searchable with a beautiful search widget.
Once your site is static, the database that powered WordPress search is gone. A static site can't run a search query on the server.
Staatic Search puts it back. When you publish, Staatic indexes your content and serves results through a fast autocomplete widget that drops right into your existing search box, with no third-party search service to wire up.
Search integration is part of Staatic Premium and Staatic Cloud.
From publish to instant results.
When you publish, Staatic indexes the title and content of the post types you choose (posts and pages by default).
Staatic enhances your existing WordPress search box with an instant autocomplete widget. No template changes required.
Each keystroke queries Staatic Search, and matching pages appear instantly, ready to click.
Enabling search integration only requires a single checkbox to be checked. Staatic will index all of your posts, pages and other content and replace the standard WordPress search control with a beautiful customizable search widget.
Optionally you can limit the post types that will be indexed.
The search widget included with Staatic Search has been designed to blend in with most sites and themes.
When needed, changes to the search widget’s appearance can be made by overriding the widget’s HTML or applying some CSS styling.
Most static sites bolt on a separate SaaS search box. With Staatic, search is part of the platform you already publish to.
A managed backend keeps your index on Staatic, so there's no search server for you to run.
No third-party vendor. No Algolia, no separate search SaaS to sign up for or pay for.
Always in sync, re-indexed automatically every time you publish.
Highlighted matches show the words your visitor typed, and link straight to the page.

Search comes with your Staatic Premium subscription. There is nothing extra to buy or wire in.
Every result shows a thumbnail, title, and snippet, with the matching words highlighted.
Override the widget’s HTML or restyle it with your own CSS so it blends into any theme.
Index only the post types you want searchable, and leave the rest out.
Your index updates as you publish, and a force-reindex option rebuilds it on demand.
Staatic enhances the standard WordPress search field automatically. For a custom field, add one data attribute.

Built into Staatic Premium
No. Search integration is built into Staatic Premium and Staatic Cloud. When you publish, your content is indexed into Staatic Search, so there is no separate search provider to sign up for, configure, or pay for.
By default, Staatic indexes the title and content of your posts and pages: the post types that are public, publicly queryable, and shown in your navigation menus. You can limit indexing to specific post types. Each result also stores metadata when available, such as the excerpt, dates, permalink, author, and thumbnail.
Indexing is publication-driven. Each time you publish, Staatic indexes new and changed content and removes anything you have deleted. A force-reindex option rebuilds the whole index on the next publication, and preview publications keep their results separate from your live site.
Staatic automatically enhances the standard WordPress search input (input[name="s"]). To enhance a custom field, add a data-staatic-search attribute; to leave a field alone, add the no-autocomplete class.
Yes. The widget is built to blend into most themes, and you can override its HTML or apply your own CSS. Results show a thumbnail, title, and snippet with the matching text highlighted, and you can change how many suggestions appear (five by default).
Yes. By default Staatic indexes the public post types shown in your navigation menus, and you can choose exactly which post types are included in the index.
